Food & Wine The magazine's website is a great place to find amazing recipes and tips. The recipe testing is very thorough and foolproof. It also gives you an immediate look into what is happening both in the world of food professionals and that of the home chef. Look for Tina's tips. You can always be assured to find tips that are well researched and shared with great care. Even though I subscribe to the magazine, I often find myself reading it online. There is something wonderful about being able to scan recipes, glance through stories and look at photographs of delicious looking food, without having to leave one's desk during an otherwise mundane day.

Bon Appetit & Gourmet Magazine The magazines' website is very well designed for browsing. The recipes are easy and delicious. It is a great source to find restaurant information for your city or those you travel to. Look at the etiquette guide, and you can learn how not to make mistakes whilst hosting a party.

Sur La Table Our friends Renee and Carl Behnke took this little store at Pike Place Market in Seattle and turned it into a national resource for gourmands and novices alike. Carrying the top tools and gadgets for the kitchen as well as any and everything for the table top. Their investment to the community has been incomparable and can be enjoyed through their ongoing teaching and guest chef programs. Visit the website for more details. You may find your favorite chef coming to your area soon.

Chef2chef.net This site has most everything you want to know about food. You can find bios on food personalities, you can get tested recipes and above all, you will find here, everything that makes food as vibrant as it is.

AnotherSubcontinent.com A wonderful site where you can go and learn all you want to know about Indian culture. Cinema, food and more. The food section in particular, rivals any serious food discussion site on the internet. The same members that made the Indian forum of eGullet popular, have found this forum a place to share their genius in without any fear of censorship. A site poised to become something much bigger and notorious.

Chefshop.com The site supports local farmers from across the world. To have the best food products available without every leaving your doorstep, order from this site. Aged Vinegars, Dried Thai Chile Peppers and perfectly rendered Duck Fat are only some of the examples of offerings you can find here. If you care about sustainable farming, look at this site. They also have a great newsletter to help you discover more ways of enjoying and finding quality stuff.

LocalHarvest.org With thousands and thousands of farms, restaurants, CSAs, farmers markets, and producers of seasonal, local food as members, Local Harvest makes it easy to find your local farms. Just plug in a zip code and find what you need. The online store connects you with growers instantly.

Peppertrail.com Kerala and its rich and not always remembered magnificent vegetarian fare come alive through the words of authoritatively familial and wise Ammini. This site is second only to her soon to be released cookbook (which I am very fortunate to have read as a galley).

Murray McMurray Hatchery The world's largest rare breed hatchery, which will provide all of the chickens on American Masala Farm.

Consider Bardwell Farm Vermont-based Consider Bardwell Farm is an excellent producer of artisanal goat’s milk and Jersey cow’s milk cheeses. Their fresh chevre is among the finest produced and is noted for its bright and lemony taste— also try Manchester, an amazing aged goat’s milk tomme. For those suspicious of feta (like me), try Danby feta, a smooth, silky, tasty cheese that will make you a convert too.

Michael Ruhlman Words from one as frail with them as I cannot do this dynamo of a writer justice. I shall let you discover his words and world yourselves. His books are essential, his modest manner shocking, and his kindnesses nothing one would expect in a world gone awry in craziness.

Tana Butler Fellow world citizen, passionate soul, caring aura and connector of people came into my life through the internet. How fitting that she has updated my site and given it her brilliant energy. Her "I Heart Farms" site will take you to a rarified world where food, nature, vegetables, animals and those that care and crave a sustainable living shine. That she is a talented designer is almost an aside, but also a celebration.
